Kathleen Ann Grissom Caraway was born on March 18, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Elmer Franklin and Betty Jane Harris Grissom.
On March 30, 1998, she was united in marriage to James R. Caraway, who preceded his wife in death on September 2, 2021.
Kathy (as she was known) loved word puzzle games, country music, and enjoyed watching her favorite show Criminal Minds. Her family and friends were what was most precious to her. She attended Grace Sanctuary in Savannah, Tennessee.
Kathleen Ann Grissom Caraway departed this life on September 15, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 65 years, 5 months, and 28 days.
She is survived by her son, James Storey and his wife Kimberly of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Christie Ranae Caraway of Savannah, Tennessee; brothers, Steve Cartmill of Texas, Robert Cartmill and his wife Suzanna of Florida, William Grissom and his wife Sherry of New Jersey, Vernon Grissom and his wife Susan of Missouri, and James Lee Cartmill of Arkansas; sister, Edna Gunn and her husband Tommy of Arkansas; grandchildren, Nathan Theo Carl Storey and Catarina Graceann Caraway; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathleen was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Cartmill and sisters, Sharon Cartmill and Barbara Cartmill.
