Kathie Jane Peeden Woods, age 70, of Florence, entered into her eternal rest on Saturday, May 4, 2019. The family received friends on Monday, May 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral will be today, May 7th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brothers Larry Burbank and Richard Alexander officiating. Burial will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Kathie was born July 24, 1948 in Lauderdale County to Edward J. and Ethel Louise Peeden. She dedicated her life to her family and many loving and precious friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Edward “Roho” Dobbs; grandparents, Ernest and Louise Cole; and niece, Donna Mix.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Carol Woods of Florence; son, Donald David Hinton of Iowa; brother, David Peeden of Florence; sisters, Stella Wray (Charles) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Sharon Thigpen of Florence, Debbie Pierce (Eugene) of Florence and Carolyn Ayers (Bobby) of Florence; brothers, Kenneth Combs and Tim Combs, both of Athens, and Greg Woods (Amy) of Florence; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
