Kathey Ellen Fox, 77, a native of Huntsville, passed away at peace in her home on November 11, 2024.

Kathey was preceded in death by her parents, Buford B. “B.B.” Fox, and Macie (Spray) Fox, her sister, Mary Ella (Fox) King and her husband, Herbert J. King, and her brother, Bob “Bobby” B. Fox.

She was born and raised in Huntsville in an incredibly loving, giving, Christian family. Her faith was very personal to her and she lived her life with a strong love of God, family and country. Kathey was a graduate of Huntsville High Class of ’65 and North Alabama College of Commerce. She lived in Atlanta for 31 years before returning to her beloved hometown of Huntsville in 2008. She loved all canines and their causes and cheering on the ALABAMA Crimson Tide. Kathey is finally free of the physical and mental burdens of this Earth.

She is survived by her adored, “Live Your Dash” nephew, Jason P. King, of Huntsville, AL and one precious fur baby and companion, Lily. She is also survived by her priceless extended family Heather “Sweet Pea” Stark, Haley, Phoebe, Vickie Jean, Jessica, Britta, Kevin, Grey and Penner.

Per Kathey’s request, no services are planned, and she was buried in the Fox family plot in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Donations to the canine rescue of your choice or St. Jude in Kathey’s memory will be appreciated.

Kathey is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, now. She was greatly loved during her time here on this earth and she will be greatly missed by many.

When celebrating Kathey’s life, she asked that we all live life to the very fullest. She wanted to be remembered through festive occasions, drinks, and get togethers, when you see candy canes and Christmas lights, and through love, laughter, and the sharing of memories.
