Funeral for Katherine Sandusky Ford, 89, of Decatur will be today, February 22, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy VanLandingham officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ford, who died Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born February 2, 1924, in Decatur to Clarence Sandusky and Arrie Betterton Sandusky.
Mrs. Ford was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church. She retired as a supervisor with 42 years of service from South Central Bell. Her granddaughter, Laurel Gillard, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Charles Ford and wife, Ruth; daughter, Kathryn B. Ford; four grandchildren, Taylor Ford and wife, Sara, Lindsey Ford, Sara Graef and husband, Jeremy, and Andrew Gillard; one great- grandchild, Greyson Graef; a dear longtime family friend, Carol Richardson; and loving nieces and nephews.
