Mrs. Katherine Ray Russell, 93, of Falkville, died on Friday, July 5, 2024 at her residence. She was born October 14, 1930, in Morgan County to Roy Morris and Florence Thelma Murphy Morris.
Mrs. Russell dearly loved her family and friends. Mrs. Russell was in the Banking industry for 46 years and retired as a head teller. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed arranging flowers, gardening, music (Don Williams concerts) and any family or church activities. Her oldest grandson (John) dubbed her “Sweet, Sweet” when he was three years old and she was known as that by all of her family and friends. “Sweet, Sweet” will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Russell was preceded in death by her two husbands: Artis Ray of 50 years and Lelton Russell of 12 years; two brothers: Ernest Morris and Frank Morris and her parents. There are no services planned at this time.
