Katherine Kay Hamlett of Huntsville Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2023 at the age of 87.
She was born January 2nd 1936 to Leah Vashti Cobb and Henry Wilkes Cobb of Pulaski Tennessee. She married her Husband Robert Gene Hamlett on August 3rd, 1954 in Pulaski Tennessee.
She was a member of Fanning Heights Church of Christ before moving to Monrovia Church of Church and she retired after working for over 30 years with Merle Norman Cosmetics.
She was a beloved mother and friend. Well known for her great cooking, sewing, her beautiful home and pretty flowers. While she has been missed for many years, as her Alzheimer’s took her away from us long before she passed; we smile now as we realize that she is back among her family and old friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Bob Hamlett, her daughter Angela Dawn (Hamlett) Butler, her parents, her twin sister Fay, and was the last of her parents 12 children to pass.
She is survived by sons Danny Hamlett and Tim Hamlett, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Chapel of Devotion at Valhalla Memory Gardens on Sunday April 2nd at 1:30 followed by a Graveside service at 2:30.
