Katherine “Kat” Sewell, 78, of Rogersville died Wednesday, November 02, 2016 at ECM Hospital. She was a 1955 graduate of Lauderdale County High School and Ray’s Beauty School. She worked as a beautician for many years, retired from GM, Decatur and was a member of First Baptist Church of Rogersville. Kat was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling with her husband of 61 ½ years, Toby.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 5th, 2016 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow in the chapel Jimmy Cox and Brandon Rainey officiating. Burial will be in Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Belue, Jacob Tate, Todd Springer, Chad Belue, Grant Thornton and Grayson Thornton; honorary, Matt Adams and Jerrod Clemons.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Willie & Gertrude Holt; brother, Billy Holt and sister, Mary French. She is survived by her husband, Toby Sewell; daughters, Toni (Carl) Tate, Tina (Mike) Belue and Tana (Sammy) Springer; grandchildren, Tia Thornton, Tonya (Robert) Newton, Chris (Juwanda) Belue, Tasha (Matt) Adams, Carla (Jerrod) Clemons, Jacob (Kelli) Tate, Todd (Brandi) Springer and Chad Belue; great-grandchildren, Grant, Grayson, Abby, Mattie, Samuel, Layne, Hannah Grace, Houston, Annalee, Lillie, Colt, Hayden, Tate, Ava and Isaac; brother, Gene (Arlene) Pirtle; sister, Shirley Haraway and several nieces, nephews and friends.
