Mrs. Katherine “Jill” Ayers, age 88, of Summertown, TN passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and of the Methodist Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon Elliot and Ardie Jennings Grimes; her husband, J. P. Ayers; one son, Kerry “Lightnin” Ayers; and one daughter, Ginger Ayers.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, March 02, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 03, 2015, with Joe Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
