Katherine Gale Jenkins Profile Photo  Katherine Gale Jenkins, affectionately known as Kathy, passed away peacefully in Hospice Care on August 31, 2024, in Huntsville, Alabama. Born on November 21, 1952, in San Diego, California, Kathy was a radiant soul who touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Kathy was not just a mother and grandmother; she was the very glue that held her family together. Her kindness and caring nature were evident in everything she did, and her love for children was immeasurable. Kathy’s home was a sanctuary filled with laughter, warmth, and the delicious aroma of her culinary creations. She relished the joy of family dinners, where the table would overflow not only with food but also with stories, laughter, and playful banter that created cherished memories. After dinner, the family often gathered for games, a time when her quick wit and sense of humor shone brightly, leaving everyone in stitches.

In her quiet moments, Kathy found solace in her hobbies. She had a nurturing spirit for arts and crafts, allowing her creativity to flourish. Reading also brought her immense joy, as she delved into new worlds and stories that fed her soul. Throughout her life, Kathy’s strong faith in Jesus served as a cornerstone of her existence, illuminating her path and inspiring those around her.

Kathy’s love extended deeply toward her immediate family, who will carry her memory with them always. She is survived by her dear son, Jason Jenkins, and daughter-in-law, Sue Jenkins. Her beloved daughter, Jennifer “Missy” Mann, and son-in-law, Chris Mann, along with her cherished daughter, Jaime Stickler, and son-in-law, Phillip Stickler, hold her in their hearts as they navigate life without her warm embrace. Kathy was blessed with two beautiful grandchildren, Katherine Stickler and Kevin Stickler, who brought her boundless joy and pride.

Though Kathy now joins her husband, Delwin “Ernie” Jenkins, who preceded her in death, and her parents, James Klein and Mavis Schrimsher, along with her brother, Michael Klein, her legacy of love, laughter, and deeply rooted faith will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends.

As we honor Kathy’s life, we remember a woman who thrived on connection and kindness, who found joy in nurturing her family, and who delightfully intertwined her faith with every aspect of her being. Kathy’s memory will live on in the joyous gatherings, shared meals, and the loving spirit she cultivated within her family.
