Katherine Elaine Williams Hibbett, 87, of Temple Terrace, Fla., formerly of Florence, passed away Dec. 4, 2013.
She was a member of the University Church of Christ in Tampa, Fla., and College View Church of Christ in Florence, Ala. She was a devoted wife of 65 years to her late husband and a loving mother to her four daughters, Susan, Ann, Beth, and Emily. She cherished her 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She spent her life serving God, her family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel, with Kenny Moorer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hibbett was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dr. Lester Lee Hibbett; parents, Earlie and Bessie Mae Williams; and sister, Millinea Threet.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Jerry) Crowell, of Florence, Ann (John) Fox, of Temple Terrace, Fla., Beth (Kenny) Moorer, of Florence, Emily (Damon) Sullivan, of Temple Terrace, Fla.; grandchildren, Daniel (Randi) Fox, Matthew (Sarah) Fox, Chip Crowell, Jason (Meagan) Crowell, Jonathan Fox, Andrew Sullivan, Samuel Moorer, Jenny Moorer, Kory Sullivan, Bradley Moorer, and Jake Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Campbell, Reese, Grayson, and Luke Fox; brothers-in-law, Grady Threet, Ike (Barbara) Hibbett, and Jim Hibbett; sisters-in-law, Betty Hibbett, Martha Hibbett, Jackie Hibbett, and Ann Hibbett; and many wonderful nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Shoals.
