Katharine Ingram Carr, age 87, peacefully transitioned to the next life on Friday March 20. A private graveside service will be held on Monday March 23 at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
Originally from Tuscaloosa, Al, Katharine moved with her military husband Malcolm throughout the country until they were stationed at Redstone Arsenal. She firmly put down roots in Huntsville where they raised their large, loving family. Katharine loved to play hymns on the organ but her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family. Christmas and Easter were always held at her home and were festive events.
Left to cherish her memory are her 5 grown children, Vicki Kennedy, Valerie Thomas, Steve Carr, Lee Carr, and Sandra Cartee and their respective spouses, 7 grandchildren (and their spouses), and 8 great-grandchildren, along with treasured neighbors and extended family. Katharine was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years Malcolm L Carr Jr, and beloved son Phillip.
