  Katelynn Dupont Nichole Dupont, age 16, of Columbia, Tennessee, gained her angel wings on December 14, 2024.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Brandon Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Katelynn was born on May 7, 2008, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Robert Dupont, Sr., and Casey LeAnn Bankhead. From the moment she entered this world, Katelynn was a kind-hearted and bright soul, spreading love and joy wherever she went.

She began her schooling at Elysian Fields Elementary in Pre-K, then attended Arthur Circle Elementary for Kindergarten and part of first grade. Katelynn continued her education at Logansport Elementary School, where she was a cheerleader from second through fourth grade. She later attended Spring Hill Middle School through seventh grade and achieved her high school diploma at the remarkable age of 15.

Katelynn had a passion for helping others and dreamed of becoming a primary care nurse for infants or a teacher. She loved children and animals deeply and enjoyed hobbies like hunting, fishing, music, and reading. She was baptized as a member of Logansport Missionary Baptist Church in Louisiana.

A dedicated and hardworking young woman, Katelynn was proud to have saved enough money working at a Shell station to purchase her first car. Her vibrant spirit and warm smile could light up any room, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Katelynn is survived by her parents, Robert Dupont, Sr., and Casey LeAnn Bankhead; her sister, Monica Bell (Hunter Kendrick) of Waskom, TX; her brother, Robert Wayne Dupont, Jr., of Columbia, TN; her grandmother, Nancy Bankhead of Columbia, TN; grandparents, Willis and Julie Dupont of Greenwood, Louisiana; great-grandmother, Ann Hook of Panola, TX; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Vickie Copeland, and grandfather, William Jacobson.

Katelynn’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be profoundly missed.
