Karen Joan Sanderson, 57, of Toney passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019 at a local hospital. Karen was a native of Huntsville and a resident of Madison County for over 15 years. She was a veteran of the of the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include one son: Carl R. Sanderson of Huntsville; one daughter: Charlene Sanderson of Clarksville, TN; her father: Ralph Edward Cole; two brothers: R.D. Cole and Richard Cole and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother: Anna Louise Cole and one sister: Carol Jean Cole Ekonen.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in Karen’s honor to the National Forest Foundation.
