Karen Bolan Morgan, 66, of Trinity, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 at her residence. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Decatur Christian Fellowship Church with Pastor Ben Stanley and Pastor John White officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Morgan was born February 1, 1958 to Melvin and Carolyn Bolan. As a kid, she self-professed that she hated school and had to get a spanking on most days to generate her attending. She did, however, love spending time with her grandparents, Mildred and Coy Gray, and would walk to their home every chance she got. Karen was a lover of all animals, with a presence like Snow White, she fed every single animal that came her way; and lots came her way over the years. Once she acquired a stray mule just because it jumped the fence into her pasture like it belonged there. Another time she ran straight into traffic on a busy highway to save a bunny that had been hit. She also fed a flock of crows at the pool store. They came everyday expecting their lunch, even pecking on the glass doors if it arrived slightly late.
She loved her children, of which she had two; Ragan Bailey (Ryan) and Cainan Tidwell. Karen was preceded in death by her son, Cainan, but she was his full-time loving and devoted caregiver until his passing in 2009. After this time, Karen ran Morgan Pools with her husband, Mike, going over and above for all of her customers.
Caring for things was her gift and was what she did best. Whether it be animals or people, Karen would take care of them. She always gravitated toward the less fortunate and did what she could to make life better for anyone that needed it. Losing her son, grandmother, and daddy were holes that never filled, but again she continued caring for them after their death, diligently going every week to Oak Grove Cemetery to mow and weed around their final resting places.
Karen was a member of Decatur Christian Fellowship Church and appreciative of Pastors John and Sheila White for teaching her the life of Faith.
Karen’s mother, Carolyn, husband, Mike, daughter, Ragan, and grandchildren, Rylan and River will grieve her earthly passing, but will celebrate her heavenly gain.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Oak Grove Cemetery in her honor.
