Karen Ann Dent Jones transformed from this earthly pilgrimage to her eternal home in Heaven on Monday, November 11, 2024, from the North MS Medical Center Hospice Unit. She was 68 years old. Born to the late Ed Edison and Mary “Sissy” Jaggers in Fort McPherson, Georgia on October 25, 1956, Karen was raised in Okolona and lived there all her adult life. She graduated from Okolona High School in 1975. She spent the last 16 years of her working life as a Customer Service Representative for Bancorp South. A kind hearted, strong willed lady whose smile was contagious and laugher often outrageous, Karen loved her children and grandchildren passionately. Her love extended to her family at Faith Outreach Church in Okolona where she was beloved and served the Lord faithfully for several decades. She enjoyed making annual pilgrimages to Charleston, South Carolina to visit son, Michael, and between their adventurous natures, they took many trips to wonderful places over the years. She loved the people of Okolona and her spiritual countenance led her to help establish the Okolona Food Bank where she served as Director for many years.
A celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Faith Outreach Church with Bro. Jimmy Bryan officiating.
