Kandy Evelyn (Garner) Johnson, age 58 of Winchester, passed away on February 29, 2024. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on August 11, 1965, to the late Ronnie Garner and Mary Ann (Davis) Prince. She was a devoted homemaker and cherished the time spent with her beloved family. Many people called her “Granny,” and she loved them all as her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Alex “Tutter” Garner; and former husband, Ralph Johnson. Kandy is survived by her loving daughter, Kelly (Derek) Walls of Decherd; siblings, Ronnie (Susan) Garner JR of Hillsboro, Joe Garner of Cowan, and Carolyn Kay Garner of Cowan; step-father, John D. Prince of Winchester; grandchildren, Tristyn Barnes, Aidan Walls, Jacey Walls, and Caitlyn Walls; soon to be great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; friends that were like family; fur baby, Fancy; and fur baby grandson, Ace. Visitation will be from 11am-2pm on Monday, March 4, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
