JW Cobb, 75 of New Hope left this world for his eternal home on December 20, 2024. At a young age, JW learned the values of hard work, family first, and to enjoy life. He was born the only boy on his family farm in Big Cove where he would later sacrifice his education to work with his parents and learn the meaning of hard work and perseverance. From there on, he worked with many talents such as roofing, excavation, and general contracting to become the successful patriarch of his family, beginning when he married the mother of his children at 16 years old. He later met his beloved partner of the next 31 years, Sherry Dalton, who stood by him until the end; he loved her deeply. “Life is about the choices you make” and countless other words of wisdom from him will forever be ingrained into our mind and soul. He left a legacy of love for the outdoors and strong family values that will be carried on for generations to come.

Many of his adventures in life included his nephew Johnny Ray Thompson who he loved as a son!
