Junior Russell Sims, age 87, of Lexington, TN passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and a member of St. Joseph Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin and Maggie Pennington Sims; his wife of 53 years, Doris Fisher Sims; one daughter, Tina Faye Vandivender; and one son, James Ronny Sims.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2015, with David Byrd officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrence County, TN.
