Junior Mize, age 86, was born February 24, 1937 in Winston Co., Al. the son of the late Dolphus and Lenah Whitman Mize, he passed away Monday November 6, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 10, 2023 from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 11:00AM in the chapel, with Bro. Ronnie Marbutt officiating. Burial to follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Junior retired from Caterpillar before moving back to his home (Sweet Home Alabama). Junior was an avid outdoorsman that loved fishing, hunting and teaching his grandson everything he possibly could. He loved attending church services and sitting outside on the porch with Marie enjoying the wildlife and listening to gospel/country music whenever he could.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Whitman of Haleyville, AL.; son, John Mize of Peoria, IL.; sister, Mary Mize Harvill of Counce, TN; grandson, Christopher (Tara) Mize of Chillicothe, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Loise Hood; brother, Cleburn Mize; daughter, Angela Mize
