Junior Lee Gullett age 73 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Gullett was born May 31, 1939 in Limestone County to Lon Gullett and Florence Powers Gullett.
Services will be Friday, May 24, 2013, 6:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with James Oliver and Mike Webster officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. Gullett was a member of Majestic Chapel and a retired brick layer.
Preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Florence Gullett; sister, Anna Bryant and two brothers.
Survived by his wife, Pinkie Gullett of Athens; three sons, Ricky Gullett and wife Tracie, Stanley Gullett and Michael Gullett and wife Kathy all of Athens; three daughters, Gilane Smith and husband Frank, Brenda Smith and husband Tom both of Hartselle and Patsy Smith and husband James of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Ledford of Florida and Betty Jo McGraw and husband Bobby of Athens; brother, Jerry Gullett and wife, Rachel of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
