June Young Page Bean died Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Bedford Heath and Rehab in Pearl River County, MS. She was 96 years old. June was born on March 4, 1927 in Lee County to the late Joseph Caradine Young and Veatrice Raper Young. She lived most of her life in Lee and Itawamba counties before relocating to Pearl River County to be near her daughter as her health declined. After the death of her first husband, Fred Page, Sr. in 1961, she enrolled at Mississippi State University and earned her BA in Education in 1967. She was later certified in Special Ed, working as a specialist in that field in several area schools retiring from Tremont Schools. A Godly woman, June was very active in the local jail ministry to women inmates. Well read and studied in scripture, she enjoyed Bible studies and going to church anytime the doors were open . She was a member of East Heights Baptist Church. June enjoyed time spent with her family. A learned, soft spoken, genteel Southern lady, June will be remembered as a wonderful Mother, a doting grandmother and great-grandmother, a caring school teacher and an encouraging and sustaining influence on everyone she met.
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life with burial in Lee Memorial Park. The Rev. Dr. Jonathan Page, her grandson, will officiate. She is survived by her son Fred Page, Jr. (Diane) of Tupelo, a daughter, Debbie Page Humphrey of Picayune, two daughters-in-law, Debbie Page of Corinth and Ruth Page of Chesterfield, Va; 9 grandchildren, Elizabeth Page, Leighton Page (Katherine), Carrie Page Drake (Nick), Matthew Page, Jonathan Page (Kelly), Jennifer Danigole (Brian), Rusty Dennis, Benjamin Humphrey (Jamie), and Jon David Humphrey; 12 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Addie England of Tacoma, WA, and Sandra Dillard of Saltillo, MS., several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Fred Page. Sr. and Wiley Bean; two sons, Greg Page and John Page and a sister, Kathleen Warehime.
