A celebration of life service for Mrs. June Parks, age 90, will be held at 12 PM Monday, January 30, 2023, at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Sumner and Bro. Joey Hufstedler officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joseph Harden, Jeremy Young, Charles Ramey, David Harden, Michael Wolford, Michael Allen, and Honorary, Gary Morris. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Sunday, January 29, 2023, at Shelton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parks passed away peacefully in Trenton on January 24, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1932, to the late Joseph Ezekiel Harden and Lillie Mae Kelley Harden.
Mrs. Parks retired from Brown Shoe Company, was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, where she served as the pianist for many years, and also taught Sunday School.
Mrs. Parks is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Ezekiel Harden and Lillie Mae Kelley Harden; husband, Herman Parks; siblings, J. D. Harden, Floyd Harden, Della Pilant, Blanton Harden, Bonnie King, Clyde Harden, and Eva Morris.
Mrs. Parks is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mrs. Parks honor may be made to the Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Brazil, TN, The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and The Wounded Warrior Project.
