June Ingram Olive, age 89, of Florence, AL passed away October 19, 2023 at Mitchell Hollingsworth. Visitation will be Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at Broadway Baptist Church with a service to follow at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery, Iron City. Pastor Dean Olive and Pastor Ryan Tyler will be officiating.

She was a native of Ethridge, TN where she was raised on a farm and played basketball for her school. She was a member at Broadway Baptist Church, she helped reestablish Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School at 3 three different churches, past president of American Legion Auxiliary Post 11, member of Eastern Star Cypress Chapter 195 OES. She operated Olives’s Studio and Photo Supply for 53 years as a portrait photographer, Darkroom Technician and retouching and oil painting artist. She loved horseback riding, growing flowers, raising pets, loving on her family, supporting her church, God and her country in her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Bettie Shellnut Ingram; her husband of 62 years, Carmel Olive; her mother-in-law, Annie Bailey Olive Wilson; her brothers, Floyd Ingram (Odell), Hubert Ingram (Ruth), Wallace Ingram (Julie), Ed Ingram (Betty), Bob Ingram (Nancy) ; and sister-in-law, Vivian Ingram; sisters, Mabel Mobbs (Major) and Helen Wright (Cauley).

She is survived by her brother, Travis Ingram and children, Sandra Leibold (Terry), Susan Perry (Randy), Cameron Olive (Lori), Jimmy Olive (Denise), and Jamie Underwood (Larry); Grandchildren, Laura and Sara Leibold, Daniel Perry, Miranda Berry (Chris), Hallie Levy (Marcus), Katelyn Olive, Jeremy Staggs (Noel), Jonathan Staggs, Morgan Kenny (Nathan), Blaine Olive (Milly), Jackson Olive, Jeremy A. Underwood (April), and Justin Underwood (Casey); great grandchildren, Carter Perry, Rileigh Haley, Cadence Berry, Hevannah Perry, Issac Staggs, Knox Staggs, Brody Underwood (Emily), Lexi Underwood Dodds (Brannon), Brailey Underwood, Quentin Underwood, Colton Underwood, and Alex Kenny; great great grandchildren, Tinley Underwood, Bentley Underwood, and Ira Carol Dodds; numerous nieces, nephews, and family whom she loved dearly.

The children would like to thank Karen Mandru for the special care and love given their mother as well as her other caregivers, Stephanie Pettus, Kerry Jenkins, and Pam Faulkes. We would especially like to thank all the nurses and staff at Mitchell Hollingsworth in the Summit area that were so kind and loving to mother during her short stay there, and thank you to the staff at Green Oaks Assisted Living.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeremy Staggs, Jonathan Staggs, Daniel Perry, Blaine Olive, Jackson Olive, Jeremy Underwood and Justin Underwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathan Kenny, Marcus Levy, Kevin Reese, and Brody Underwood.
