June Daphney Bailey Jones, 87, of Toney, passed away on Friday, January 27th, 2023. Mrs. Jones was born on January 25th, 1936, to Eugene Bailey and Naola Blackburn Bailey.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her daughter Beverly June Deffenbaugh (Mike); son Timothy Hural Jones (Kelli); grandchildren Rebecca Lock (Jason), Megan Colvett (Jonathan), Charlie Deffenbaugh (Laura), Jordan Daphne Ann Jones, Jacob T. Jones (Samantha). Megan Hobbs (Eli), Emilee Daly, and Drew Daly; great grandchildren Brayden Lock, Emmalee Lock, Lily Colvett, Alexander Colvett, Reed Colvett, Nora Deffenbaugh, Luke Deffenbaugh, and Ivy Jones; brothers John. D Bailey (Lavon) and Jack B. Bailey (June); and sisters Amy Beth Pressnell (Steve), Joy Brewer (Tony), and Holly Roberts; sister-in-law Gudrun Bailey; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Hural A. Jones, Jr.; great grandchildren Charlotte Deffenbaugh and Henry Deffenbaugh; brothers Joe David Bailey and Hal E. Bailey; brother-in law Hooty Roberts.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jones will be Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, at 3:00pm at Sardis Springs Baptist Church, with Tim Keenum and Jack Bailey officiating. Visitation will be Monday January 30th, 2023, from 2:00-9:00pm at the church. The burial will be at Sardis Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charlie Deffenbaugh, Jacob Jones, Brayden Lock, Joe David Bailey, Heath Roberts, Ben Pressnell, and Drew Daly. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Smith, Bryan Smith, Ken Henson, John Newby, Jerry Allen Newby, Kenneth Croley, Robert Nichols, Danny Estes, Kenny Blythe, Jr., David Keenum, and Jonathan Keenum.
