The July event will be Thursday July 3, from 5-8 p.m. in downtown Florence. “It’s going to be a busy weekend, and this will be a fun way for folks to begin their Independence Day celebrations,” said Lexi Sandlin, the First Fridays committee chairwoman. In addition to the change in days, First Fridays will play host to a classic car cruise-in on Court StreetCar Show Spring Park from Tuscaloosa to Irvine streets. The street will close at 4 p.m. to accommodate the car owners, and The Cadillacs are set to perform in the Irvine Street area. Robin Wade, of Robin Wade Furniture, will also be on hand providing information about the No Raft Race that is scheduled to take place on Cypress Creek on July 19.
