Julie Fisher Thompson, 71, Tuscumbia, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.

Born on September 29, 1953, in Huntsville, Alabama, Julie was a graduate of Butler High School and spent most of her life in the Shoals area. Julie devoted many years to taking care of her beloved sister, Debbie. She worked in banking; for Gerald Murray; and as a dedicated admin for several equipment, trailer and tire companies in Tuscumbia until retirement.

Julie was preceded in death by her parents, James Fisher, and Grace and stepfather, Tom Lawson; and her sister, Debbie Fisher. Survivors include her husband, Wiley Thompson; stepdaughter, Missy Logan (Brent); granddaughter, Hallie Logan; brother-in-law, Glen Thompson, Jr. (Helen); special friend, Nedra McCaig; numerous cousins; along with her spoiled dog and cat, Sammy and Izzie.
