Julie Ann Mears, 64 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, July 16th, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Mears was born on December 8th, 1959, in Athens, to Ben and Annie Thomas Haggermaker.
Mrs. Mears is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary Mears; children Jacob Oneal Mears (Bridget), of Limestone Co, AL, and Jessie Lee Haggermaker of Madison, Co, AL; 8 grandchildren; brothers Vernon Haggermaker, Larry Haggermaker, Randy Haggermaker, and Darrell Haggermaker; and sisters Christine Johnson, Sherry Johnson, and Laura Pilot.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Wesley Haggermaker; and sister Margie Holt.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mears will be Wednesday, July 24th, 2024, at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00-1:50pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bottoms Cemetery.
Mrs. Mears loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed planting flowers.
