Julie Ann McKee Heinrich, 54, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at her home. Julie was of the Catholic faith and was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Brazoria, TX, before moving to Iuka. Most recently, she had been a member of Our Lady of the Shoals Catholic Church in Tuscumbia, AL. For seven years, Julie had been an Experiential Learning Coordinator for the University of North Alabama and was very proud of it. She enjoyed the work and the travel that came along with it. She was an excellent cook, author, and seamstress. Throughout her life, she had written several children’s books and cookbooks. While she enjoyed her work and her hobbies, her favorite thing in life to be was a mom. Her daughter was her pride and joy, and she loved her endlessly. Julie is survived by her husband, Daniel Heinrich, Jr.; her daughter, Sidney Aisling Heinrich; her son-in-law, Jacob Laughlin; her mother, Shirley McKee; her siblings, Tim McKee, Gregory McKee (Bobby), and Carey McKee; her mother and father-in-law, Delores and Daniel Heinrich; her sister-in-law, Rebecca Kinley (Justin) and their daughter, Vivian; her granddog, Peter; and a host of other loved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dwight McKee; and her grandparents, Lester and Eddie McKee, Delbert Rossignol, and Pearline Nunnley Drexel. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Father Mario Solorzano. Pallbearers include Ronnie Ryan, Steven Adams, Chris Ryan, Abe Weaver, John Weaver, and Bryan McQueen. Interment will be in the McKee Family Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Julie’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
