Julie Ann Edwards, age 52 of Cowan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Vanderbilt Tullahoma Harton after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on November 19, 1971, in Winchester, to the late William Thomas and Judy Sandra (Bradford) Willis. Julie was formerly employed with Tepro. She was a devout Christian and was a member of the Twelve Church in Winchester. Julie enjoyed planning and organizing the family fun day and holiday events for her family. She loved the quality time spent with her grandchildren and going to the beach. Julie will be remembered by all who knew her as a strong and compassionate lady who put others first before thinking of herself. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fate Arngel and Edna Joyce Bradford and Ben and Ann Willis; and her four-legged companion, Toby. Julie is survived by her husband, Calvin Edwards; daughters, Ashley Edwards (Derrick Brock), Amber (Brandon) Steele; grandchildren, Denver Brock, Memphis Steele and Nash Steele; sister, Lisa Willis (Larry) Stephens; father and mother -in -law, Ralph and Jane Edwards; brothers and sisters -in-law, Danny R. Edwards, Mary (Tommy) Evans, Melody (Kenneth) Holt, Susan (Justin) Sims, and Trish (Chad) Mantooth; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, 10:00am from the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Hix officiating. Interment will follow in Cowan Montgomery Cemetery with Derrick Edwards, Chase Mantooth, Hunter Mantooth, Matthew Stephens, Jeffrey McCormick, Cayden Powers and Dawson Edwards all serving as pallbearers.
