Julie Ann Abbott Marlin, 48 of Arley, formerly of Hollywood, Florida, passed away on July 12, 2016.
Julie was born on November 7, 1967 in Hollywood, Florida. She attended New Life Baptist Church in Davey, Florida and was baptized on June 18, 2016 at Calvary Chapel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison. Services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Houston Baptist Church. She will lie in state from 1:00 to 2:00 pm. Pastor John Gates and Shawn Abbott will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Marlin; mother, Ida Norene Abbott; step-son, Justin Marlin; daughter, Tamara Bailey; brothers, Ronnie Abbott, Bobby (Tammy) Abbott, Arnold Ray Jr. (Sue) Abbott; sister, Debbie Davey; two nephews, Shawn and Les Abbott; two nieces, Alicia Coleman and Amber Abbott. She was “Nanny Julie” to five grandchildren, Hannah, Ethan, Jordan, Jensen and Harper.
She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Ray Abbott; grandparents, Riley and Sarah Ann Abbott and Les and Bernice Karnes.
