Julia Sue Hallmark, 90, Leighton, passed this life on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, to go meet the love of her life, Raymond, in Paradise. Visitation will be at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, today, August 3, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The service will be Friday, August 4, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with brothers, Gerald Pennington and Danny Winningham officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Julia was a loving wife and mother who always put aside her wants and desires to care for her family and others. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; parents, Clayburn and Lassie Gandy; great-grandson, Christian; son-in-law, Frankie Minor; brother, Richard Gandy; and sister, Brenda Hill.
Julia is survived by her son, Harlon (Brenda); daughter, Susan Minor; grandsons, Philip (Ashley) and Matthew (Jessica); great-grandchildren, Robbie, Jaxon, Kaiden, Keifer, Brynlee, Myka, Zaylie, and Quinn; great-great-granddaughter, Julia; brothers, Harvey and Jerry Gandy; sisters, Bernice Riggs, Raye Richey (WH), Dorthy Hatton, Louise Vandiver, Barbara Haygood, Faye Perez (Cel), and Mattie Whitworth (Jerry); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Philip, Matthew, Jaxon, Kaiden, and Keifer Hallmark; Bryan and Marty Vandiver; and Donald Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Julia’s church family at Hopewell Church of Christ and all those whose lives she touched in her ninety years here.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers, visits, calls, and food offered during this time.
