ulia Smithson of Culleoka, TN passed away at her home on December 16, 2018 at the age of 74.
Julia was born May 16, 1944 to the late Vester Newell Humphrey & Marcella Flowers Humphrey in Columbia, TN. She loved to bake and decorated lots of cakes over the years. She traveled & was a one-time member of a band called “Fireside Pickers”. She was a caretaker for her parents as well.
Julia is survived by Jennifer (Brian) Fitzgerald of Culleoka, Shawn (Don) Chant of Columbia & Jason P. Bernard of Santa Fe, grandchildren; Heather (Jeremy Dyer) Fitzgerald and Michael Fitzgerald, Kevin King, Brianna Sinder, Destany Seaton, Mickey Chant, three great-grandchildren; Josiah & Constance Sinder and Alysea Seaton, siblings; Randall (Lynn) Humphrey, Craig Humphrey, Barry Humphrey and a host of nieces and nephews, uncle; Cleve Humphrey. Julia was preceded in death by her parents Vester & Marcella Humphrey and sister, Shirley Sewell.
Services will be Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home, Columbia, TN at 6:00 pm. with Pastor Tony Brown officiating. Visitation with family is 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Family Visitation will begin at 3:00 pm. The family will have a private interment at a later date at Santa Fe Cemetery.
