Julia Lelis Correa Youmans passed away on June 6, 2022, in Columbia, Maury County, Tennessee. She was born July 18, 1937, in Melo, Cerro Largo, Uruguay.
Julia accompanied her husband David on numerous international assignments to a handful of countries on three continents. She was very fond of the natural world, loved all plants, animals, and most people. The frequent chaos of decades of international travel and residence gave way to more settled living arrangements in their retirement years in Florida, and then Tennessee which they affectionately called home.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, David V. Youmans; her parents: Martin Casariego and Matilde Correa; three sisters; five brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sons: Ricardo Youmans of Columbia, TN, Sergio (Virginia) Youmans of Lynville, TN, and Vance (Kristin) Youmans of Cheney, WA; her fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; five sisters; one brother; and dozens of nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
