Julia “Julie” Blunt Forbes, 69, died Monday, October 10, 2016, from natural causes. After several months in and out of the hospital, Julie died peacefully with her sons by her side. She leaves her sons, David Forbes (Cheryl) of Daphne, Alabama, Brian Forbes (Melissa) of Lakeland, Tennessee and Richard Forbes (Lisa) of Madison, Alabama, brother Bob Blunt (Annette) of Cumming, Georgia, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruth Blunt. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, July 25, 1947; settled in Huntsville, Alabama in 1971. In the years that followed, Julie was employed by Redstone Arsenal and retired from the Department of Defense. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016, from 2-4 pm at Berryhill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ark Shelter of Huntsville, or the American Diabetes Association in her name.Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting.
