She is survived by her 4 daughters Wendy Wickwire Beam (Kenny) of Franklin, Tennessee, Shelly Wickwire Griffin (Tommy) of Austin, Texas, Laurie Wickwire McGinlay (Vince) of London, England and Julie Wickwire Sligar (Mike) of Brentwood, Tennessee, her 11 grandchildren Brandon, Cassidy, Courtney, Brittany, Blake, Connor, Morgan, Jordan, Carly, Mason and Shea, and her 5 great grandchildren Colton, Hollis, Chad, Mitchell and Thomas.

Mrs. Wickwire will be remembered by many as their first-grade teacher at West Mastin Lake Elementary School, and as a school principal by the staff and students of McDonnell Elementary.

Julia’s greatest loves were family, friends, and nature.  This love was lived out in the close family life she created, the friendships she nurtured, and nature that she loved and respected.

The family invite you to join them for a memorial service which will take place on Saturday, January 7th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Legacy Chapel in Madison, followed by a service at 12:00 pm and burial at 1:00 pm at Huntsville Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Forest Hills Baptist Church – Children’s Ministry. They provided a wonderful outreach to mom during her years in Nashville and supports her lifelong love of children.  www.fhbc.org/give  In memory of Julia Wickwire.
