Julia Faye “Judy” Pepper Bray, a former resident of White County, died on May 27, 2021, at Poplar Estates Assisted Living and Memory Care facility in Columbia, Tennessee, where she had been a resident for six years.
She was born in Limestone County, Alabama, on June 9, 1937, to Clara McMunn Pepper and William Pepper. She graduated from East Limestone High School and Freed-Hardeman College. She was the wife of Kenneth Bray and the mother of four children: Malinda Ivey of Nashville, Amy Sentell of Maryville, Celia Owens of Columbia, and Kenneth Jr. of Cleveland. She was blessed with nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. In her youth, she was baptized into Christ by Ira North and remained a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
Special appreciation is extended to the staff of Poplar Estates and to Compassus Hospice for their wonderful care. No service is planned at this time.
