Julia Emilia Tidwell

Age 84 of Gallatin passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at Hendersonville Medical Center. She was born November 29, 1938 in Puerto Rico to Jose & Emilia Rivera. She worked as a homemaker. She enjoyed flower gardening, quilting and sewing. When her children were growing up she made clothes for them. She was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Gallatin. Mrs. Tidwell is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Monceita Cotton and Georgina Rivera. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Glenn Tidwell, Gallatin, TN; son, David (Jennifer) Tidwell, Hendersonville, TN; daughters, Glenda (Dennis) Wiesner, South Mills, NC and Deborah (Mark) Sumner, Lavonia, MI; brother, Jose (Mary) Rivera, Dearborn Heights, MI; sisters, Aida (David) Banning, Canton, MI and Rose Rivera, MI; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at 11am in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Pastor Shawn Bickel officiating. Interment will follow in White House Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation is planned for Monday, January 16, 2023 4-8pm and Tuesday, January 17, 2023 9-11am at the funeral home.
