A Life Celebration service for Julia Elizabeth (Beth) Martin of Anniston will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024 with visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 at Parker Memorial Baptist Church with Dr Mack Amis officiating.
As the Lord looked down from the throne of grace and heard the prayers for His beloved daughter, with outstretched arms He said, “Come home.” And, Julia Elizabeth “Beth” Martin passed from this life to eternity on Feb. 27, 2024, at the age of 69.
She was born at Ft. McClellan, AL on Jan. 23, 1955 to Earl Frank and Julia Mae “Judy” Jennings Martin. She was preceded in death by both parents, and her brother, Ronald Earl Martin. She is survived by a host of cousins.
She graduated from Munford High School, and attended college, and worked many years in medical records.
Beth was a member of Parker Memorial, and was a praying Christian. She kept so many of us lifted up in prayer. She loved babies and children, and taught a children’s Sunday School class for a time. She kept some keepsakes from some of the children. She also babysat her cousins, near and far.
Beth never married or had children of her own, but she still leaves a legacy through her love for the children she cared for and taught, in her love of family, friends, and in all the photographs she has taken over the years.
Beth was generous and loving, and helped others as much as she was able, and in whatever way she could. She lovingly cared for her mother until her passing.
She had a love of crochet, and made many items she gifted to others on special occasions.
Beth loved to spend time with family and friends, and she loved to laugh. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to her, and she brought joy to others. She was a dear person and will be greatly missed.
