On Sunday, July 24th, 2022, Judy Ramsey Holder, 79, of Huntsville, Alabama, passed away surrounded by her family. She was born on March 23rd, 1943 in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Lee and Ruth Ramsey; her brother, Miles Ramsey; and great-grand daughter, Isla Marie Smith.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Wayne Holder; children, Donald Wayne Holder Jr. (Holly), Scot Lee Holder (Elissa), and Elizabeth Anne Holder; grandchildren, Caleb Holder (Molly), Hannah Smith (Jake), Dylan Holder (Jamie), Samuel Holder, Alex Leopard, Gracie Holder, and Addie Holder; great-grandchildren, David Wyeth Holder, Ethan Peak Holder, and Mabel Abigail Holder; and her dog, Rocky.
Judy lived a very full life. She spent 60 years married to the love of her life and creating a loving home for her family. She put her family before everything else and dedicated her life to caring for others, especially children. She enjoyed playing tennis with her girlfriends, square dancing, singing, making her grandchildren laugh, having all her grandchildren over for sleepovers, and cooking for her family during the holidays.
She was lively, silly, and downright fun. Her laugh and light filled every room she entered. She never held a grudge and was loyal to a fault. She was the glue of her family and encouraged all of them to enjoy life and always do something fun.
And, above all, she loved the Lord with all of her heart, body, and soul.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 27 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel with Jody Vickery and Mickey Lott officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks you donate to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Shriner’s Hospital for Children, or the Huntsville Inner City Learning Center in her memory.
