Judy Gail Smith, age 77 of Mentone, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at her residence. She was born on June 22, 1947 to the late Andy & Mable Priest Hasting in Fort Payne. She was a member of Mentone Church of God of Prophecy.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Bankhead Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. hour of service.
She is survived by her children, Crystal (Ray) Poteat, Stacy (Karen) Smith, Shan (Heather) Smith, Whitney (Crystal) Smith, Chad (Amber) Smith, and Nicole (Josh) Goldsmith; sister, Betty Cantrell (Earl); and a host of grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy “Squeak” Smith; parents; siblings, Opal Burnett, Carl Hasting, Nellie Croley, and Floyd Hasting; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Clair Brown.
