Judy Catherine Davis, 77 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, June 7th, 2023, at her residence. Mrs. Davis was born on May 5th, 1946, in Athens, to Cecil and Gladys Camp Thompson.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her son Kenny Thompson, of Elkmont; daughter Cathy Nichols (Jamie), of Athens; step-son Scott Davis (Kim), of Athens; grandchildren Shooter Davis, Spencer Davis, Josh Thompson, Will Thompson, Colson Nichols, and Finley Nichols; 2 great-grandsons; and 1 great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by her husband Garth Davis; and son Michael Cox.
Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be Saturday, June 10th, 2023, at 3:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00-2:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Evans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Shooter Davis, Colson Nichols, Spencer Davis, Buck Thompson, Josh Thompson, and Will Thompson.
Judy was the baby of the family and the remaining sibling of ten. She worked in the sewing industry for 50 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. Being Nana was her favorite thing in the world. She loved and adored her 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grands. She will be deeply missed.
