Judy Alene Edwards Smith, 74 of Sumiton, passed away Oct. 29, 22 at her residence. She was a graduate of Dora High School, class of 1966. She was lifelong fan of the University of Alabama. She was retired from retail Cosmetic sales after 25 years in that business.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Smith; her parents, Dewey C. and Kathleen Utley Edwards and her brother, Carroll Edwards.
Survivors include her children, Kelli Smith Naugher and husband Scott, Julie Smith Grimes and Adam Smith; siblings, Linda Edwards Smith and husband Danny, Gaylon Edwards and wife Pat, Aaron Edwards and wife Brenda; sister-in-law, Linda Jo Edwards; brother-in-law, Mike Smith; aunt, Martha Smith; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be Friday Nov. 4, 22 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Mike Smith will officiate. Visitation is Friday 12-1 pm for the family and 1-2 pm for friends. A private committal service will follow at Bethel cemetery for the family only.
