Judson Wayne Adams – Obituary

judsonJudson Wayne Adams, 69, of Anderson passed away Sunday, September 13th, 2015 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was a 1964 graduate of Lexington High School, a 17 year veteran of the United States Army and Army Reserves. Judd was a farmer, owner/operator of A & C Body Shop and retired from GM, Spring Hill, TN. He was a member of Hurricane Presbyterian Church and attended Bethel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 17th, 2015 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with Bill Barlow, Jimmy Cox officiating and his son, Matt will be delivering a eulogy. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Cottrell, Keith Cottrell, Greg Lamb, David Johnson, Tommy McConnell, Leroy Smith; honorary, Robbie Johnson.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Talford & Dona Adams. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Adams; children, Scott (Elke) Adams, Leslie Trousdale and Matt (Tasha) Adams; grandchildren, Jordan & Lane Adams, Emily & Sidney Trousdale and Mattie, Samuel, Lillie & Isaac Adams; sister, Brenda (Larry) Johnson and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Judd enjoyed golfing every Monday at Anderson Golf Course and spending time with his family. After retirement, he spent several days a week at Adams Auto Body where he would greet everyone with a smile and kind words. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
