Judith A. (Pepper) Strickland. On June 28th 2024, at 1:15 pm, Judith A. (Pepper) Strickland passed from this world while at home with her daughter Debra, granddaughter Virginia and granddaughter in law Jennie Garretson in Viola TN. Pepper lived a life full of adventures and hard work. From being a wife and mother to being a blacksmith, working on horse farms, testing cattle for the state of Florida to finishing her working career with the city of Eustis in Florida, she never wasted a single day in her life. Though Pepper enjoyed time with her family, her greatest happiness was working on her farm, surrounded by and caring for her animals. She was amazing at teaching others how to enhance their farming techniques and also enjoyed the simple things in life, like beaches, mountains and time with friends and family. Everyone she met, carried away a story to share with others, along with a piece of wisdom attached to it. Pepper was preceded in death by her parents Delithian Bergandi Bailey and Charlie Albert Bailey of Florida. She was also preceded in death by her son Dwayne Ramsey. Pepper is survived by her daughter Debra Schreck of Sparta TN and grandchildren Virginia Taylor of Viola TN, Casey Emerton of Lebanon TN and Joey Ramsey of Florida. Pepper had 3 siblings that preceded her in death, Ray Bailey, Leo Bailey and Wimpy Jones. She has two surviving siblings, Martha Jo Dickson of South Carolina and Thomas Bailey of Florida. Pepper is also survived by several Great Grandchildren, Allie, Parker, Jackson and Rhemy. Other surviving family includes many nieces and nephews and other family which stretches across the globe. A celebration of life will be held in memory of Pepper and her life, on June 28th 2025 at 1:15 pm. Location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to any Indigenous peoples reservation or animal foundation of your choice, in her memory. McMinnville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 931-473-6606.
