Juanita “Snook” Cantrell Clark – Obituary

Juanita “Snook” Cantrell Clark went to be with her Heavenly Father at the age of 94. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Marvin T. Clark, and parents, Franklin and Sarah Cantrell who raised “Snook” as a young widowed mother. Mrs. Clark was also preceded in death by her siblings: Theo Hillis, Rita Hillis, Mary Jones, Gladys Underwood, Frankie Kennedy, Amos Cantrell and Earl Cantrell.

Mrs. Clark worked many years at P.R. Mallory and SCI, later known as Samina, where she retired at the age of 82. She was a lifelong resident of New Market, AL and a lifelong member of Rice Baptist Church. Mrs. Clark was a dedicated member and taught Sunday School many years.

She is survived by her son, Michael T. Clark, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a 1:00 p.m. chapel service with Rev. B.R. Jenkins officiating. Pallbearers will be her nephews. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery. She was a precious , loving lady and her family will miss her.
