Juanita M Whitt, 88, of Ardmore, AL died Monday, July 13, 2020 at Athens-Limestone Hospital, Athens, Alabama.
Born Monday, February 29, 1932 in Alabama, she was the daughter of Albert E Groce and Hattie Louise McCown Groce. She lived here all her life and was a member of Mable Hill Baptist Church. She loved to read, gardening, to watch wrestling and The Young and the Restless, and the Trail of Tears Motorcycle Run.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Gilbert B. Whitt; brothers, Rabon Groce, and Doyce Groce; and sister, Jennette Humphrey.
She Is survived by her daughter, April (Michael) Barnes, Ardmore, AL, sons, Jeff (Bonnie) Whitt, Prospect, TN, Andy Whitt, Ardmore, AL, grand children, Shane (Kallie) Bird, Ardmore, AL, Jake (Miranda) Beason, Ardmore, AL, Josh (Christie) Beason, Louisiana, six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL, at 4:00 PM with Bro. Lynn Marshall officiating.
