Juanita Evans Norvell, 85, of Madison passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022. She was born in Paris, Kentucky and graduated from high school in Corbin, Kentucky. Juanita married Harold Norvell in 1956. During the early years of their marriage they lived in Kentucky, Georgia, and Ohio, before moving to Alabama in 1964.

Juanita was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She developed relationships that lasted throughout her life through her church family, with her neighbors and friends in Madison and Pulaski, Tennessee, and during her work endeavors at Barbara’s Dress Shop, Wyle Laboratories, and Kelly’s Garden Center, all in Madison, and at Magotteaux in Pulaski. Juanita’s interests included sewing, gardening, collecting treasures, and spending time with friends and family. Following the death of her husband, after 46 years of marriage, she moved to Pulaski in 2003, returning to Madison in 2019.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, David Norvell of Pulaski, and Karen Williams (Mike) of Madison; her granddaughters, Nicole and Laura; her brother, Dean Evans (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Geneva Norvell, Ilene Rogers, and Audrey Norvell; numerous nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Alfred Evans.

Visitation will be at noon on Friday, January 28th, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will follow at 1 p.m., with Dr. Edwin Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.
