Funeral services for Mrs. Juanita Curtis, age 81, will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Salem Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Gadsden. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 AM until service time.
Mrs. Curtis, a retired employee of Eaton Axle and member of the Mr. Olive Assembly of God Church, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Bailey Park Community Living Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Curtis; parents, Sam and Madie Haynes; a son, Sammy Curtis; a sister, Ruth Smith; and a brother, Billy James Haynes.
Mrs. Curtis is survived by two daughters, Janice Newell (Jackie) and Jennifer Curtis both of Gadsden; a son, Charles Curtis (Kristy) of Gadsden; three grandchildren, Chris Newell, Jessica Newell and Anna Zamaguey; and six great grandchildren, Nathan Newell, Emily Newell, Paisley Newell, Olivia Zamaguey, Gabby Zamaguey and Scarlett Zamaguey.
