JT Stricklin, age 77, of Florence, went to heaven on May 30, 2015. His strong faith and determination carried him through many hard fought battles with health issues.
Visitation will be Wednesday June 3, 2015, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home, Florence
The service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with the burial to follow in Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee.
After proudly serving in the Navy on the USS Mullany he retired from Reynolds where he worked in the cast house. He was also a farmer and carpenter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mollie Stricklin; brother, Wilbert Stricklin; and Great Nephew, Brayson Bray.
Survivors, Wife, Virginia Stricklin. Daughters, Penny Stricklin, Pam Bierlair ( Charles), Brother, David Stricklin; Sisters, Shirley Melson (J.R.), Wanda Bevis and Phyllis Ayers (Virgil); Grandchildren, Jordan, Mollie and Hayden; Nieces; Nephews; and Great Nephews.

The men and mates of the USS Mullany would like to extend their condolences to the family of JT and to thank you for his service to our country. We will properly honor him at our 2015 reunion by ringing the ship’s bell in his honor.
