Joyce Young Reese

Joyce Young Reese, 84, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born February 26, 1940 to the late Cordie M. Young and the late Sybol Grissom Young. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She was a great cook; her family looked forward to the holidays and her Mandarin Cake and Asparagus Casserole. She was an accomplished seamstress and could take a garment and remake it to fit every need. When her spouse, David, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, she waited on him and catered to his every need until his death. She truly fulfilled her wedding vows of sickness and in health.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Thursday October 17, 2024, at Senter Funeral Directors with Bro. Brad Haumesser and Bro. Bobby Robbins officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Thursday in the Senter Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Survivors include her son, David Kirk (Loyce) Reese of Tupelo; daughter, Cynthia Hutcheson of Guntown; grandchildren: Michaela Reese, Nancy (Matt) Parker, Katie (Austin) Jones, Hannah Dill, John David (Maggie) Dill, LeeAnn Allen, Michael Dill, Daniel Dill; great-grandchildren: Trey (Kacie) Allen, Elliot Jones, Issac Jones, Theo Dill, Omie Dill; great, great-grandson, Trighton Allen; sisters-in-law: Marian Hill and Beverly Collins.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, David L. Reese; daughter, Jodi Dill; son-in-law, Perry Dill; son-in-law, Wayne Hutcheson; grandson, Phillip Dill; brothers: Olen Young, Billy Young, Wade Young; sisters: Jewel Frances McKinney and Gracie Ally Young
Pallbearers will be John Dill, Michael Dill, Daniel Dill, Trey Allen, Matt Parker, Austin Jones
